All I can say is that CarbonJoe (aka Joe Vargus) ROCKS when it comes to carbon fiber work. Of course he DOES contract out to major aerospace companies for his composite material work.
These watershields were finally made for me (after annoying Joe with dozens of e-mails to make them). They are made using the vacuum bag technique which draws the resin through the CF for a better finish with no bubbles. Very exquisite work. They run $125 for the pair for triple Webers and come pre-drilled for the 4 wingnut holes at the top of the air filter. He also makes them for two barrel carbs! Joe can be reached at carbonjoe@attbi.com http://www.carbonjoe.net/index.html Attached image(s) |

QUOTE(seanery @ Jul 31 2003, 07:21 PM) why do the tripples have watershields and the doubles don't? Doesn't make much sense to me. The bling bling talk was about the -4 valve covers. I think mainly because the -6 cars didn't come with rain trays & drain tubes, but the -4's did... Obviously a lot of people with fours have removed their rain trays and so if they drive in the rain, might wanna think about some kind of "protection". |
