First, my father passes away on the 9th, then I get a phone call today from my best friends wife. Many of you know him as Joe Buckle, the BBQ master of the So Cal contingent, he is in the hospital tonight and they may admit him. I just got home from there, he is awake and says he is fine but his heart monitor says otherwise. The doctor says he is A-Fib, I am not sure what it means but I do know, it is not a good thing. We need the power of Prayer again from all of you as I dont think I could take another loss in my life this close to my father passing. For those who dont know him, he is one of those kinds of people that is rare in todays world, He is a great father of two beautiful girls, has been blessed with a wonderful and understanding wife and is the type of guy who you would be proud to call your friend. I will be going back over there tomorrow to check on him and will post up any information I get afterwords.
My prayer? Dear God, please dont take my friend. Attached thumbnail(s) |

Joe,
Glad to hear that you're home and hope you are feeling better. A coulpe of months ago, my wife's father had open heart surgery to replace a valve, as well as a couple of bypasses. He spent a week in the hospital and two more weeks in a rehab center after that. He developed a murmur and had to return to the hospital to get that corrected. For an 81 year old guy, he's doing better now. My mother-in-law, during that week of the surgery, fell in the hospital and injured her back. She's now undergoing treatment for that. Still waiting to see how she does. Last week, my wife was diagnoised with adult onset diabeties. For now, the doctor feels she can control this with diet and meds. Needless to say, this has not been a very good year for us. Too much on our minds to enjoy life. Hpoefully next year will be better. Take care of yourself. |
