Saw the ad in Excellence yesterday, was wondering if anyone here had gone to any of the previous fests? |

I'll kick around some ideas and propose a plan in a week or so. Last year we got a fairly small group together and did a canyon fun-run from SeaSide Park to my house, and indulged in some charred meat, beverages and a bit of swimming. There is some gorgeous scenery and fun driving roads between there and here. It's 90 mins or so via the canyons vs maybe 45 via the fwy.
FWIW my place is off the 101, about halfway between the event (Ventura) and "LA" proper. So this plan works best for people living south or east from Ventura; kinda out of the way for the northerners. I'm at the top-center of this map: (IMG:http://www.nosubstitute.org/maps/tn_588_jpg.jpg)[click for fullsize; 400KB] |
