Okay, I know y'all've (I spent 3 years in the south...that's a word (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif) ) heard me complain about the 4-cylinder engine, dropping it and installing it. What a beyatch! So to those who've had the pleasure of working with the 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder versions, which is easier to drop/install? Your kidding right.
I actually put a four cylinder in once without a jack, slid it onto my chest and bench pressed it with my arms and knees held it long enough to get motor mount bar nuts started. I installed the transmission separately. My 6 has CIS so it has to be wrestled in a bit and always needs some sort of heavy equipment lift to do the job. |
