I am doing a clutch replacement and I'm trying to get the pressure plate guide pins from the old flywheel to put in my new one. Any Ideas on how to do this?

Update on the pins: After sledge hammer, Heat, and other techniques like throwing it high in the air with a pin in the back of it so it lands on the pin (very tricky maneuver BTW). The pins would not move. So I went to local VW junkyard and purchase three pins for $5.
The ones I got from the junkyard were after market. They're hollow and probably come out much easier. So at least now I can continue with the clutch replacement. When I get some time I am going to take the old flywheel to a machine shop and see what they do to get those things out. Not that I need them anymore but it's become and obssession now! |
