I stay out of AA bashing threads and I don't want this to turn into that, if it does I'll delete the thread. My position is that any company today that supports the 914 is helping us out in some way, including AA. I have a had a couple satisfactory transactions with AA and I want to keep it that way. I posted this for the laugh value to clubmembers only. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)
You may have seen this decal before, but it came up on ebay again....No one is perfect but come on Greg, you are supposed to be an authority...this is too much buddy...It should be obvious what the issue is with this decal...Do you really sell many of these? You really should destroy all your inventory of these... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif) 1974 914 1.7L Sticker "PORSCHE 914 ENGINE COMPARTMENT DECAL 1974 1.7" "Brand new old stock Decal. Perfect for the concours enthusiast." Many of us are old enough to have had these cars throughout their life, so should have some idea of what business is about. George Hussey and Auto Atlanta have been there for many years, and they've been there to turn a profit. They've been helpful and supportive, even if not always the best for shipping on time. Often I would find parts there that no one else had available.
As these cars age, any supplier that can help keep them on the road should be applauded. If you've stopped by a Porsche dealer lately, try to find any parts for the 914 that aren't NLA. If they are available, the prices are often shocking. We should all be carefull shoppers, check what prices and quality are before buying. I think that any bashing of suppliers that help keep the flame alive is not in our best interest. No financial gain on my part, but who else took the time to print tech tip books, 914-6 conversion manuals, etc, etc. Remember, the internet wasn't always there to give us this access to information. Just my 2 cents worth, thanks for reading. |
