The Zenith 3bbl carb I have, pulled out a idle mixture screw threads last month. Since then I located a set of very clean Weber IDA 3 bbl carbs and am thoroughly cleaning them and putting in a fresh set of gaskets.
I would like to preset the accelerator pump delivery and set the floats on the work bench. I do not wish to use gasoline in the cellar if possible. Can I use another less volatile fluid ie. paint thinner/mineral spirits without hurting the accelerator pump diaphrams or carb gaskets? I have one of the PMO gauges to set the floats with. Thank You Bill Kohnke & Mrs Murphy |
