2.0 D Jet, new engine. it ran fine yesterday. I changed the points with a compufire. the idle smoothed out nicely. I touched something wrong because now it hesitates past 1/2 throttle under load. below 1/2 throttle its nice. on teh fwy its fine (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/WTF.gif)

It sounds like a leak in the MPS or one of the hoses leading to it.

I would try checking there first. You may have inadvertently bumped a hose loose.


Is it running excessively rich or lean? Or is it just hesitating?

I had one once that wouldn't pull past 3500 RPMs to find that the coil had shot craps.
