Is the cold start valve for an l-jet the same as a cold start valve for d-jet.

I just broke mine pulling the distributer out.
The last jerk who worked on the distributer torqued the stupid thing to like a thousand.. Bad mojo.

But hey- I fixed that stutter....

bump...

so Chris can by pass his but the problem is that it broke the actuall valve and is now a vacuum leak into the manifold and affected the idle (what idle)
The easiest thing for him to do would get a used L-jet valve to replace his broken one.

but Chris, a 2nd alternative is:

Chris, on D-jet the cold start valve doesn't inject fuel until something crazy like -26degrees
so bypassing it isn't really going to hurt anything
You could just plug the vacuum link... make a plug, weld it shut, what ever plugs it... Then just not have a cold start valve.

plan 1 is probably easier.
