does anyone know who I should goto in the chicago/ rockford area that can apprasie my car in writting that my insurance company will take ?

That's what I did for my car, after paying a professional "appraiser" who told me my very average '74 914 was worth $15,000. (He assumed the odo hadn't flipped yet.) I could have given that appraisal to the insurance company but didn't want to be accused of fraud, and the appraiser was kind of a prick so I didn't want to ask him to re-do it. But the PCA valuation, while not a true appraisal, satisfied my insurance agent, because the coverage is based on agreed value, anyway. |
