I do things... Group: Members Posts: 7,809 Joined: 2-December 03 From: Napa, Ca Member No.: 1,413 Region Association: Northern California |
Tomorrow it all starts.
Gonna break it all down and start the body work. I hope to have it DONE by next Friday. Brandon at Altissimo Restoration (707-253-paint) will be doing the bulk of the work. I get to do the disassembly/reassembly, welding, rear flare work, sanding, some sanding and more sanding. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/dry.gif) Car will be factory color light ivory with bright metalic red rally stripes and the 7"steel wheels to match stripes. I'll be filling the side marker and antenna holes. Rear ducktail spoiler will go from black to white and the targa top will be smooth painted with the stripes over the top of both. Any advice? That car used to belong to Chuck Davis. It had a 2.7RS motor in it then. That is the motor that is now in Larry Sharp's '74 Carrera.
It has been around our series for many years in several itterations. I forget who the new owner is, but he still attends most of our TTs. Chuck now has a older 911 chassis with FG 993 body work and a larger twin plug motor...possibly a 3.6L. Nice car none the less. |
