a guy from truckee(?). was working on a ladder running a drill. the ladder collapsed and he dropped his drill and it landed bit end up. he fell on a 18"x 1 1/8" auger bit. into his eye and between his skull and brain (yikes). 4 hours to remove the bit. lost his eye but no brain damage at all. he talked like it was no big deal.

The had something on discovery a week or so ago.... a guy get into a car accident, goes off road through some construction debris etc..
The paramedics arrive and the still concious guy asks "is there something stuck in my head?" this guy had a piece of 1/2 in rebar stuck through the windshield and right into his forehead... At the emergeny room they opened a hole in the back of the guys skull, and pulled the rebar out.. He made a full recovery. Amazing.. |
