drill bit thru eye, npc, on news this am Options

a guy from truckee(?). was working on a ladder running a drill. the ladder collapsed and he dropped his drill and it landed bit end up. he fell on a 18"x 1 1/8" auger bit. into his eye and between his skull and brain (yikes). 4 hours to remove the bit. lost his eye but no brain damage at all. he talked like it was no big deal.

I cut my hand years ago on the job, had to drive myself to the emergency room. I am sitting there waiting......cuz the lady said to take a seat and wait my turn. Tons of people waiting of course.......
A pool of blood in now under my chair cuz I am bleeding so bad (about 12 inches across). Finally a doctor comes out for the next person, a lady stands up and says "I'm next!"

Doctor looks at me (going white) and the pool of blood and says "He's next!" The lady was sooo pissed off and yells at the doctor about how people need to wait their turn.
I was patched up in no time at all.

i live in the great state of california where every frickin mexican kid who has the sniffles goes to the ER. i was sitting there, vometing my guts out with a ruptured appendix while jose and juana got a tissue for their runny nose. i waited an hour just to get seen- i was seen and 5 minutes later in surgery.
