a guy from truckee(?). was working on a ladder running a drill. the ladder collapsed and he dropped his drill and it landed bit end up. he fell on a 18"x 1 1/8" auger bit. into his eye and between his skull and brain (yikes). 4 hours to remove the bit. lost his eye but no brain damage at all. he talked like it was no big deal.

Here is the text:
MAN DRILLS THROUGH SKULL A Californian man is lucky to be alive after an accident on a construction site. Ron Hunt was drilling into a wall when the ladder he was standing on slipped. His head was impaled on the drill bit. Surgeons had to literally unscrew the tool from his skull. Mr Hunt lost the sight in his right eye but still considers himself to be a very lucky man. |
