a guy from truckee(?). was working on a ladder running a drill. the ladder collapsed and he dropped his drill and it landed bit end up. he fell on a 18"x 1 1/8" auger bit. into his eye and between his skull and brain (yikes). 4 hours to remove the bit. lost his eye but no brain damage at all. he talked like it was no big deal.

QUOTE I love how the media writes a story to make it better... Yeah. The x-ray showed it was a field point. I'm going to have to dig it up when I get to school tomorrow (hope I haven't tossed it). Now, that shot of the drill bit/auger just looks nasty! ...then there was the time I had a student put a glass rod through his hand... |
