again the sacramento car makes me appreciate the general condition. some suface rust but most of the discoloration is adhesive. re an older post about not glueing in the new seal. how are you supposed to get the new one to stay in place?

3M makes a good adhesive remover. Whatever you do, do not glue the new 1 back in. The fit fine without glue.
Each time after I wash my car, the rear and front trunk seal come out. I then dry the channel and let the seals dry before putting them back in. You rust isnt bad at all.
Seems well hidden by the seal. This leaves you plenty of options on how to treat it.
