Here are some pics of Vin# 4072 the 4th to the last 914 built. So we now know who has the 4th 914/6 built (Brad) and Kent Carlson who has this one.
Note the wrong turn signal lenses and lack of rollbar vinyl. Now to find the last one made! Geoff Attached image(s) |

QUOTE All 76 cars came with the Euro lens front That doesnt make sense...the white light in front would violate US laws even today...Is that in print somewheres? QUOTE that means mine was the 472th from last Not necessarily. The VIN was only the last number assigned3 to the car after it passed inspections. My LE website shows several LE cars where a car with an earlier VIN was built on a later date than a car with a later VIN. You have to look at the chassis plate on the front drivers door to know the date that a car began production...which to my way of seeing it would mean the last car off the assembly line. I think there is a 76 car in one of the history books with white late style bumpers...anyone know anything about that car? I think it might have been the very last one... |
