HEy there, I have a question about the original streel wheels sold with the 914 pre '74.

For the later mag look I know that the backspacing number is ET40;

ET40 = 914;

Anything else is VW specific - I think for a standard VW wheel it would be ET26 but I haven't been able to totally confirm it. I'm about ready to just start looking at them parked on the street (so many around here...) to see. I'll let you know, but that's what I'm looking at so far for info.

If anyone has the EARLY steel wheels that are not the mag look I would be interested to know what the ET number is on them or what the backspacing is.

Thanks!

Gary, thanks for the info

5 1/2Jx15 ET-34 Sport Wheel promo packs Style of sport wheel used on 914 Porsches

Seeing these are they the wheels that would take the dome style hub caps?

I know that my "mag look" steel wheel spare has an ET printed on it of 40 and that isn't in your list.

it's 5 1/2" X15 ET 40, I'll look for a part number tomorrow.
