Several years ago Wiesenthal (?sp) an artist in Amsterdam, created a limited number of large scale 914's. Most of them went to European collectors. A few made it to the U.S.A. I have been trying to find one for several years since I learned these rare porcelain models existed. I have a Porsche friend who lives in The Netherlands. I asked him about these models several months ago. It turns out he has done business with the artist in the past. He asked the artist if any of these 914's were still available. None were, but the artist said he was willing to make a few special for me. I commissioned 3 to be produced. I told him to use the bright colors of his choice, unlike any that had been done before. Four were made. Two of them were damaged in the glazing process and destroyed. I am keeping the blue one. I am making this burgundy one available to one lucky 914World.com member.
I could probably sell it for much more on eBay, but I want this special item to go to a good home. In an effort to be fair, I will follow the lead of seanery and the t-shirts. I will have a lottery for the chance to buy this piece. (kinda sounds like AA. Last rare one ...... yadda, yadda, yadda) The model is truely fantastic. It is 16 inches long. There a no flaws or damage that I have found. It is sturdy, but remember - it is made of fragile porcelain. I would prefer to be able to arrange for hand delivery. I would hate for it to be broken in the mail. I will be in the S.F. area in two weeks. SD or LA in about a month. Maybe you need a good excuse for a road trip to Vegas? The price is $180. Please post here or e-mail me if you want to be included in the lottery. I ask PLEASE do not enter if you have thought of reselling it for a profit. LMK if you have any questions or want more photos. I will select a winner at midnight on friday Sept 19th. Attached image(s) |

Well, I used to do the website for that club
It was quite a site as well. It was the very first clubsite world wide that got approval from Porsche AG. It used to be almost 100 pages in size... Then they got a new chairman and some other new board members And they thought they could fuck with me and some of my friends I warned them not to piss me off 3 times but they wouldn't listen So within 5 minutes, "their" website shrunk form close to 100 pages to 1 page (sorry, this site is temperarily off line for re-construction) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif) Then all hell broke loose. They even hired a lawyer, trying to get the site back on the air Threatening to sue my ass for it. Told them all to (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pissoff.gif) Ofcourse they didn't have the balls to sue me, so instead they kicked me out of the club (well, that's not definitive yet, the members will have to vote about it) But anyway, here's a couple pics of the ceramic model coming to shape cheers, Jeroen Attached image(s) |
