If one were to take an old 912 trans with attractive gearing, pull out the shafts, will these fit into a 914 box? I am still unsure of compatability of these two trans.

I am running 3rd and 4th outta a 5 speed 912 gear box. Nice close ratios for upshifts and downshifts between 2nd thru 4th in my 2056 power band. I kept the stock ZD 5th for freeway drives.
Exchange the gear sets not the shafts (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif) |
