Just got my new Avon tech R-A 's 205 50 15

they won't fit a stock bodied car!!!
I tried them on my Revolution wheels (7 inch rim)
I might try them on my fuchs(5.5 inch rim)
still not sure the will fit.
I call Tire rack before I orderd them and the said I will have no problems!!!!
I have used Kumho, hoosier, yokohammas with NO problems in the past
BE care full!!!
they hang over the rim about a half inch on either side
NOT HAPPY

This might help someone.

Tire/model/225 section width/205 section width:

Toyo RA-1 9.2"/ n/a
Avon Tech RA 8.5"/7.9"
Hoosier R3S05 8.9"/ n/a
Yoko A048 9.3"/8.2"
Kumho 710 9.2"/8.3"
Michelin PS Cup 8.9"/8.3"

I fitted my car to accept the Yoko 225's.

Two things about using a chart:

First, you need to know the wheel diameter to get the section width.
The tires get wider on a wider rim.

Also, depending on if your suspension is really stiff, and if the tread is
narrower than the section width, you *could* still be okay with a tire
that's too wide.

Go to Tire Rack web site, they list most of the data for all these tires.
I've used Kumho only so far and their numbers are very accurate.
