Pilled the dipstick this morning and this is what I saw. Looks like I'm about to blow a head gasket?. The truck runs good and has never overheated. WTF?. I really don't want to fix this.. First pic bad focus but, you can see the milkshake on the dipstick..

Seriously - don't pussy-foot around.  If you're gunna keep the truck, stick a 302 HO in it and don't ever look back.

Tom

Must be nice to be able to think nice thoughts like that. (Use a nice roller cam 351 not that wimpy little 302)
No can do here in the peoples republic of Kalifornia. Evil smog laws make it almost imposible or very expensive to do a swap like that. Even if it's perfect you will get hassled every time you have to get it smogged. After my good old 86' truck blew a head gasket and warped the heads I fixed it sold it cheap and bought a new smog exempt diesel.

See, I'm in MI. Half the people here have never heard of an vehicle test, much less emissions.

Hollowed out cats and straight pipes are a thing of a norm. Also, you see a lot of crap on the road that should never be there, due to the lack of mandated vehicle inspections.

I forgot about the CA smog nazi's. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/sad.gif)

Either way thought, an HO 302 or a 351 roller would work just fine in that truck. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)
