In driving my 914 turbo Ford I have found that I can't get much above 3500 rpm. I suspect that the Bosch pump might not be compatible with the Ford EFI. I kept the pump because it is externally mounted (vs. tank mount for the Ford pump) and I saw a guy who was successfully running a 280ZX pump (which I think is basically the same as the 914 pump) on his EFI 5.0 HO Bronco. Does anyone know the basics of the fuel pressure vs. rpm curve for a stock pump on a 1973 1.7? I think I need about 30 psi at idle and 70 psi max.

Yep, spend money.
My stock 75-75 fuel pump did ~85psi wide open. Currently using it on my Nissan6 but seems to die out above 5k. So I'm going to guess it's only good for about 200hp. The Maxima engine is regulated @ 43psi. pn 2225, on my list of upgrades- @ Jegs.com for ~$77. Oh, the fuel pressure stays the same throughout the rpm range, unless you are running a rising-rate fpr.
