I am tall, about 6'7, and I have a little bit of trouble fitting in my car comfortably...I am in the process of rebuilding it with some modifications, one of which will be a cable shifter which i can relocate a bit if necessary. I was thinking about taking out the pedal board and shortening up the clutch and the brake pedals somewhat..(using a subaru drive by wire gas pedal, also relocated.) and maybe pounding the firewall back a shade for an extra inch or so and putting on a steering wheel extender...
has any one else run into similar issues? How did you correct? I would prefer leaving my feet attached...(IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

Yeah, its the knees that really give me the problem. I think relocating the shifter will help a lot, but still not a fantastic driving position.
It would be sweet to get just another inch of legroom..it makes so much difference. I tried on an Elise last year and my feet wouldnt even fit in the pedal box...heheh. so i guess it could be worse. |
