Can someone tell me if the fan housing material can be powder coated? I don't know what material it is made of and don't know if it can with stand the heat process.

Yes it can definitely be coated. Just make sure it is sandblasted (glassbeaded) first and it is best to bake it UN coated initially to outgas. I just did my dad's 2 weeks ago (pics top come) Engine is looking SLICK !!If you do it yourself though make certain ALL holes are plugged including the mounting pin holes for the 2 halves
