I zeroed the battery (Optima red-top) on my way back from the autoX last Sunday. Took the battery out and stuck it on a charger on Tuesday for about 16 hours. It's been sitting since Wednesday, which I thought would be long enough to bleed off the surface charge. I dug out the DMM tonight, and found the voltage across the posts was 14.25V. Uh wha????
Does anyone know if the Optima will hold a higher level of charge in a no-load condition without any bleed-down? This just doesn't make sense to me.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) --DD |
