just wondering how people deal with rust in the tunnel? My car was one of the worst cases. Rear window leak and it sat for a long time. The tunnel and in between the firewalls must have had had a lot of standing water in them. My solution was drastic. I replaced both firewalls, front and rear pan, and I also replaced all the tubes in the tunnel. I am still worried about the inside of the longs. The outsides are fine. Inside? It would be nice if there was a tunnel floor patch. I suppose It could have been cut out / repaired and welded back in place. The accelerator tube is very close to the bottom. I cut into it in several places removing the floor pan. If you are considering this, be careful. |
