One of my friends just boogered up his Triumph Spitfire front hood (rearended an SUV in traffic) and I was wondering, since this is by far the most resourceful place for multiple vehicle knowledge, does anyone know of places to get them for less $$, or have any info on one for sale?

Thanks, as always!

Well I talked to English Motors--owner wants $1,000 for the bonnet--and is not sure of the year (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

They've always been high, but this is WAY MORE than I was expecting, especially for one thats been sitting outside on the car for the last 10+ years.

I talked to another yard too (Sports and Imports), they have what they think is a 74 . . . . said they'd sell the bonnet for $800--or the whole car for $1,500 (both still seem HIGH).

If your friend is interested--and can wait until Saturday--I'll see if I can take some pictures of both.

Best,

Steve A-
