Bob at APPBIZ here Really would like some feedback from you guys on our newest product. We have been the leading vendor of 911/930 door panels for years. We have been asked by many 914 owners to develop more 914 products. After nearly a year we finally have 914 door panels in production. We had a big battle forming the top piece and finally decided we would do it in metal like the factory did on some cars. We think the results are spectacular. Pictured above is our 914 RS America Plus panel. It features a 911 RS America Handle with OEM Bezels and a 916 style accordion pocket. Pictures of our other 914 panel sets will be added to this post as we upholster them. This model was the most complex so we figured we would tackle it first. We have just begun production and will have several versions of 914 / 916 panels available very soon. Again I would really appreciate your comments on these. We really value the opinions of you guys and with your help we can make this a terrific product. Bob bob@appbiz.com |

Guys I very much want your feedback positive or negative. My company was built by listening to our customers. We are now the largest supplier of Porsche 911 / 912 / 930 Door panels and carpet kits worldwide and its because we listen!
In the past we have concentrated on the 911 /912/ 930 market. So many of our 911 customers also have 914s and they have been bugging us to bring more 914 products to the market. For the 914's we currently sell Carpet sets in German match Perlon, plush needlepunch and True Sliverknit Trunk sets in all the above materials Perlon headliners with bound edges Our Pelon felt is custom made for us 6000 yards at a time and is the only stuff available that actually matches the factory stuff. Most of our compertitors use material designed for speaker covers. The door panels we plan to offer are as follows OEM Style panels in black Vinyl, basketweave or black leather RS America Style Panels, in black Vinyl, basketweave or black leather RS America Style Panels With Pockets (Shown Above) in black Vinyl, basketweave or black leather 914 GT Style Panels (Long leather strap and wimpy Plastic handle) Like '73 911 RS/RSR, in black Vinyl, basketweave or black leather 916 Replica Panels with deep pockets on both sides and decorative Diagonal Stitiching in the lover front and upper rear quadrant (Available March) We will also be selling uphoster it yourself sets for the kits that do not have storage pockets. (Storage pocket fabrication is beyond the abilities of most Do it yourselfers) We are aso willing to cover them in customer provided materials if you need a color other than black merely purchase more than enough material and send it to us. Our 914 panels have a formed galvanized steel top section. We spent a year trying to get these panels right, we tried forming particle board (like some of the OEM panels), we tried vaccum forming it, we tried fiberglass. We just were not happy with the results. In the end we found the steel top was the way to go. The factory used steel on some 914 panels, but most were formed particle board. Unlike the factory "formed particle board panels" ours are very easy to recover, and can be redone again and again. You pretty much destroy the factory ones trying to recover them. I'm attaching a pic of the top portion of our panels. As you can see we are serious about this project and have spent quite a bit on tooling to get these right . Again keep your comments comming, positve or negative and lets build a good product together! Bob bob@appbiz.com 310-539-6183 |
