I learned of this board over on the "bird board" in a semi-OT thread there.
http://forums.atlasf1.com/ The primary site and forum is obviously Formula-1 oriented but there is also a nostalgia/vintage forum and a few others. Vic Elford and Doug Nye have been posting recently on the nostalgia forum. IIRC Dan Gurney was also there recently.
