last time....

The engine was topping out at about 5000 RPM.

This is what is supposed to be in the carb

Original Settings

Choke 27mm
Aux Vin 4.5
Main Jet 1.05
Idle Jet 0.50
Air Idle 1.45
Emulsion Tube F1
Air Corr 2.00
Acc Pump 0.50
Needle valve 1.75

What I found:

Choke 32mm
Aux Vin 4.5
Main Jet 1.05
Idle Jet 0.60
Air Idle 1.80
Emulsion Tube F1
Air Corr 2.00
Acc Pump 0.50
Needle valve 1.75

Hmmm. Maybe this is why I couldn't get it to idle worth a crap. It's jetted for a 2.2S.

Soooooo, now it is much more closely jetted.

OMG!!! This thing pulls like a rocket! I gave a late Mustang a run for his money. Now the tranny linkage is adjusted right (Physcian heal thyself!). This MOFO is amazing.

And there is more torque than the clutch can handle. It still has some oil from the previous engine. Around 4000-5000 rpm at WOT in the upper gears, the clutch will slip. Guess I'm doing the clutch tomrrow.

I think I need to buy a G meter or maybe take the car out for a dyno run. But I am guessing the 210 HP number is correct, at least. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)
