Well, the day had to come. Off the jack stands and then right back on for ride height and to grind down the ends of bolts holding the 944 CV together at the trailing arm. Stock were too short, 50 mm locked things up.

I can get the gears with the car stationary. But running it is R, 2 and 4 but not 1, 3 and 5. It is a side shifter with the rod straightened to avoid the headers. The shifter looks stock but I really know not where it originated. The shift rod going through the tunnel is stock for a side shifter and it travels through a spherical bearing that I made to fit the shaft. So, that is the set up. It seems like I do not have a enough travel to pull into the one gear set. Oh and it is a Kennedy clutch. Any thoughts before I start welding stuff like a pretzel?

The really bright side was being unable to find first and so launching back into the garage in 2nd. Wow! It isn't like the 4 pot.
