The heads on my 914's 1.7 motor was rebuilt by the PO and I have the task of installing it in the car. All four exhaust ports have only one threaded bolt and a threaded hole.
Should there be two threaded shafts and two nuts per port or is there one threaded shaft and one nut plus one bolt (for the enpty threaded hole) for each cylinder? Seems odd there wouldn't be "two of the same" but photos in the Hayne's Manual show only one threaded shaft per cylinder also. |
