Heads up about a long time 914er speaking at our OC Region's breakfast meeting this Saturday.

Some of you have met Margie & her beautiful -6 at the WCR a few years back at the Duarte lunch (pre-COVID) or other SoCal & PCA events.

Anyone on other media feel free to post this & at the 914world "spacebook" page. The linked is a PDF.

Margie came from driving a '73 914-1.7 competing in PCA Club Slaloms to the World Endurance Championship
•
In 1984, Margie was the first American woman to tackle the legendary 24Hrs of LeMans
•
She raced in the 24Hrs of LeMans in a Group B 930 Turbo Porsche
•
In 1985 she raced in a BMW/URD C2 race car capable of speeds up to 210 MPH
•
Only female during '84 and '85 to compete at the 24Hrs of LeMans
•
First American woman to compete in both major 24Hrs Endurance races Daytona and LeMans
•
In 1994, Margie won the Driver Championship in the American City Racing League Series (SCCA Pro Racing)
•
First woman in North America to win a professional road racing Driver Championship
•
Only female racer to drive on racing legend Dan Gurney's All American Racers Pro Driver Team of 66 in 1983
