Yeah, all was going well - both output shaft seals went in without a hitch, eazy-peazy. Installed a brass (bronze?) bushing at the shifter console too. Then I manage to drop the old input shaft seal INTO the freakin' case, trying to get a screwdriver to pierce the seal. I had previously tried to drill the seal for a sheetmetal screw but the bit was too short to reach because of the drill's bulky battery section. So, it's FAIL ARMY for me on this one (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Anyway.. what are the options now - full tear down? Can one of the side plate's come off and allow access for old seal retrieval? Tie it to my boat so I don't drift down current?
