I know we’ve discussed this, but here’s the situation. 76 fuel injected with stock 2.0 other than Crane ignition, runs perfectly. I installed the 6v Ford relay on the starter a few years ago. Good Optima redtop battery. I have cleaned all the grounds at body and transmission. Still, after driving and shut off, it barely, if at all, turns over on immediate restarts. I thought I would just run a negative cable directly from the battery negative post to the starter to see if that helped. Questions:
Is that an appropriate possible fix?
If so, what gauge cable (will make one up) should I use?
Any thoughts on general optimal routing in the engine bay?
Any other thought?
