spring has sprung down here in upper north antarctica.
out for a walk in the sunshine and ran into a chrysler valiant AP5. when aussie cars were yank tanks southern hemispherized. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) we called em tanks but really they were compacts apparently. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) there were thousands of these things in my childhood of the 1960s. i can still remember riding to school with my friend's mum driving one while we played with the ashtrays on the back of the bench bucket seats driving her crazy. i miss our roads full of americana with the steering wheels on the wrong side. these days its just a blizzard of oriental and germanic SUVs with headlights that looked like they did 15 rounds with mohammad ali. |
