I'm in the process of replacing both my turn signal and wiper switches on my project. I've purchased the aftermarket units and as noted in my research here on the forum, they are ever so slightly wider in diameter compared to the column housing. It's a very small amount, and I've shaved down the inside of the column housing with some small carbide bits on a drill to get the switches to fit. Still it is very tight. Three of the four original bolts that hold the switches in, fit no problem.. insert them and they thread right in. The problem is that the fourth screw (upper left corner as viewed head on) will not start.

I'm chalking it up to the fact that this is the one screw location that contains a thin plastic base for the thin copper horn contact strip on the front side, AS WELL AS a (thicker) copper tab on the back side that grounds the switch (for the washer pump) when pulled. So the holding screw in this location is just a tad too short to start threading.

I kind of doubt anyone's delt with this tbh, but I'll ask - does anyone know the size/dimensions of these bolts (PET does not spec them) and/or have a source for a longer replacement?
