So today I finally got the engine and transmission out of the car with the help of my son. The plan is to have the engine & tranny out to do some work including but not limited to: tranny reseal, pushrod seals replacement, valves adjustment, and whatever we find while working on the engine & tranny. So after just a few minutes of dismantling my son pointed some oily residue on Cyl. #3 & #4. Not sure where this could come from but our first thought would be to look at the oil cooler for leaks. Are we on the right track or we should look elsewhere. Cyl.#1 & #2 did not show any signs or similar residue.
