I've had my 914 stored on a friend's property. It will likely remain there for another year. It's outdoors with no coverage other than being next to a little storage barn. I've generally been keeping it covered with tarps but they don't last long. The paint on my car has long been in bad shape and the interior is about the same, so my main concern has been keeping things dry from the rain (rust). Also there are no engine and tranny, just a roller.
The tarps need replacing again and I'm thinking about trying a car cover. I have an Amazon gift card or two filling up precious wallet space needed for harbor freight receipts. So I'm forced to try to navigate through the Bezosian (is that right?) E-mess of Amazon. The problem I'm having is that there are so many available options for sale from so many supposedly different manufacturers, added to the fact that so many of the reviews are clearly fake or paid and therefore not genuine. Does anyone have a recommendation for an outdoor waterproof car cover they can recommend? |
