I think it would be way cool to find my 914's original owner (or any of its previous owners) and give them a call, and drive over and say hello. I'd really like to do that someday, you know? The only p.o. that I know of is the young guy from Portland who sold it to me earlier this year, and he said that he bought it a year earlier in Seattle... but he didn't keep the bill of sale or anything, so there is no trail for me to follow.
Has anyone on this forum ever succeeded in finding a car's previous owners through the DOL or DMV? Does the Porsche factory have a file with the original purchaser's name? Any helpful ideas on how to find previous or original owners would be very.. helpful (a gratuitous allusion to Graham Chapman in Monty Python and the Holy Grail).
