Amazing pictures around Machinac Island where Lake Michigan & Lake Huron connect.
Michigan had the coldest winter in decades. Water expands when the water in Lake Huron & Lake Michigan's surface ice is supercooled. It expands to break through the surface ice and freezes into this incredible wave. It happens in Antarctica, but in Michigan!!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) This is a cold weather gift from our Canadian friends to the North. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/stirthepot.gif) How can you guys stand it????
