Ooooo........

Went to the Matchbox site today and there appears to be three versions of the 914 out there.....

1. Lime Green (1st release)
2. Dark lime Green with 'light' lime green window trim
3. Dark lime Green with 'dark' lime green window

Kinda like the Karmann factory- let's use up existing stock....

I hope our concours guys are taking notes on this....

Picked up some 70's era cars. No 914's have hit the local stores as of yet. Seems the Super markets have a better selection than Target. Here's the bus I nabbed you Mike. Maybe one of the local guys can bring it to Hershey for you, instead of shipping it.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) Ever notice in every picture, Scotty always seems to be wearing latex gloves (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

perhaps some things are best left alone.

lol, I don't think the cars need to be "examined" that much in depth Scotty. Nice Thing collection. I'll have to see if I can find the orange and tan during my next hunt.

One of the guys on the Subaru boards asked me today if I had found one of the 914s yet. I said no. He siad he had a spare and that he'd send it to me tomorrow!

I've never met the guy! He followed my build thread in the suby OT forum, and just decided to send me one. Killer cool!

FINALLY! I scored 2 darker green 914s at TRU at a mall. I was going to the DMV, but I forgot it was a holiday. So, I decided to drive past the DMV and check out a TRU I saw on the way back from Root's shop. I also scored another powder blue convertible type 181 and a powder blue convertible ghia!

Way to go Doc....It pays to be patient.....but NOT a patient....... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Not all. These two are Matchbox, The Orange one has "The Thing" across the bottom of the doors.

I still need the Matchbox Camo Brown and the Hot Wheels Orange.
