Ok..I just booked a flight on Thursday and a return Flight on Sunday.

Now I need a hotel room and rent car......

Wayne, I was going to offer to split the room with you. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Clay, You should split with Donald. I'm not 100% I can make both dates. Where are you flying into?

I am flying right into Garden City late Thursday night. I leave DFW at 5, and layover in Denver.

I don't know about sharing with Donald... I heard he snores... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif)

I wonder how many people meet clay for the first time after time on this board and give him the "I thought you'd be shorter..."

we make him sound like one of the munchkins in Oz (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

yes, that was a "snake" plisskin reference, btw

sorry Clay, Donald, and everyone else. this is something I really wanted to be a part of. like I said there's a very slim chance that I will be able to make it, but I will not know until the very last minute...

Okay, so do I get extra credit if I drive one of my teeners 620 miles to the build off? Just a thought I have been thinking the last few days.

Well, she didn't make the road trip. In fact, she never made it out of town nor did she make it back home. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sheeplove.gif) She is actually spending the night on the side of the interstate under a bridge. If she is still there in the morning I will attempt to fix her. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welder.gif) If she isn't, I will simply file an insurance claim. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)

Clay, she has a heater that is hotter than a boat full of naked Playboy Bunnies.

Hay Wayne. This is a wild hare idea...let me know if you think it'd work.

I've been reading this thread since inception knowing I couldn't go. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) New job started last week and I can't get off on Friday. At the worst, I'm looking forward to the web cam being online to watch (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

If you're in the same boat on time....
Google maps shows a 10 hour drive. We take the back seats out of my minivan and throw in a blow up airmatress. Watch it guys! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) Leave out of here Friday after work and be there Saturday am. Drive in shifts and sleep on the way. About $60 each for gas round trip. Get a cheap motel somewhere for Sat. night, or sleep in the truck/shop. Leave out of there Sunday am.

Just an idea.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) Bill
