I am changing strut inserts today. The first one came off fine and I removed and replaced it in about 15-20 minutes. The second one I removed the top nut and washer and then when I jack up the car it wil not drop down. How can I get it to drop?

I'l tap on the top lightly with a wooden hammer, or cover the top with a wooden block, just make sure you don't damage the threads. be sure it can't just drop out either. seems like a good way to ruin your brake lines.
