our goal is really to get all 914 owners to chat at one place with several different categories/ sections. ( like a section for 916 owners only, m-471 owners only, limited edition 914 owners only, carburated 914 owners only, 914 owners under 30, crotchety old 914 owners over 50, California 914 owners only, north east 914 owners only, red 914 owners only, yellow 914 owners only, cheap 914 owners only, rusty 914 owners only, etc. Can anyone add to the list? Andy and I can rearrange the sites to cater to your particular 914 fancy

Is the club site actually really working again? I chacked after it sold and haven't tried back. There were some good threads when it was working.

Not exactly sure I understand that comment? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) I thought 914 owners were 914 owners? Are we not a global community with a common interest? Am I missing something.......... |

There is a 356/911/912/914 forum on The Samba that gets a small amount of action.

I wouldn't mind moderating a Nor Cal sub group. I'd be fun chat with the locals in addition to all the ya hoos out of state... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Can anyone add to the list? As a penalty for leaving out "914-6 owners", you're going to need to hand over the green '71. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) It'd be cool to do what you're saying and maybe take it a step further - create a large set of groups like these, and allow members to join any and all that they wish to. Then add a way for people posting new topics to tag their post with as many groups as they see fit, and any member belonging to one (or more) of those groups would get notified of it (if they so choose via preferences). That'd be a first for the 914 community -- something I know you're interested in George. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) I know the bird board has tag clouds, but I don't believe there's a subscription model built around it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) Gint told me at one point that this site (and presumeably 914club.com) already have enough custom coding built in that they've become somewhat difficult to support/upgrade/migrate as is though. I'm guessing that's part of the reason your new site took as long as it did to transition owners. ...but I'm getting sidetracked. 914 sites...let's see... p914.com, porsche914.org... Reid |

Red 914 cannot live next to a yellow 914 and black 914'slive somewhere else.
Is that what is being suggested? This is a slippery steep slope! |
