I'm picking up a 914 in the next week and want to put in a differnt speedometer (GPS run) and am curious as to the hole size for the 914 speedometer. Just want to make sure the one I have my eye on will fit. Did a search and didn't have anything pop up.
Thanks for your time... I know its a stupid trivial question but there are two differnt options i can get. One requires a 3.875" hole and the other requires a 3.375" Would one of these work without too much modification? Linky http://www.speedhut.com/gauge_products-gau...dometer_GPS.htm |

Can't help you on the hole diameter.
Pretty nice find though, I was wondering about the Calibration of the unit if it is cal'd or not. I didn't see anything on thier site. |

I don't know about those, but I'd assume the 4" electronic programmable VDO in mine is the same size. If I recall the dash hole was 100mm, or just under 4" so I assumed it would fit or maybe even require a little trimming. I should have looked a little more closely because it didn't. The whole speedo went right through the hole in the dash and had to have a little flat bezel adapter made to fit and stay in. Wish I had one to measure for you though, I've been burned before by relying on my memory.
