I looked at my odo yesterday and noticed I had already racked up 1056 miles on her. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cheer.gif) Boy, time go by fast when your having fun. Then I started crunching some numbers. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) I took delivery of the car last Jan 10. That's appx 468 days. Granted it took me 11 month's to complete (I ask you;are they ever really finished?) and register but that still comes out to appx 2.25 miles per day. What am I griping about. Hell, that's probably twice the national average. I should shut up. And yes, it has been towed (toad) twice. But the second time didn't count. That one was my fault. It was the dreaded hot start issue which I was too green to recognize. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chair.gif) Going a little further, I found that the operating costs (investment/milage) was only about $4.92 per mile, if you leave out gas & oil. That's not bad compared to a cab. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) Considering that I probably put a 1000 hr's into getting her road worthy and that the average walking speed is 3 mph I could have walked twice as far as I've driven her. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif) But all was not in vain. There is a silver lining. If I sold her, I stand to make about 45 cents per hour (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sheeplove.gif) for my efforts. But this is still a damned site cheaper than flying off for that $100 hamburger. I think I'll keep her. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

If you live in the IE "Inland Empire" and I know you do it's more than $100 for that hamburger unless you drive to the OC before you take off (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
So we'll see you this Sunday at Ron's ?? Glad to hear your driving her!! |
