OK boys and girls. This is the official, "I want to go to the Red Rocks Classic and see the pretty rocks and 914's thread"
Here is the DEAL!!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) The event is being held September 10-12th in Moab, UT. Yes, UT. So there is the chance that you may come with one wife but leave with 3. The registration charge is $67. Well what do I get you ask? BBQ meet and greet on Friday evening (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) Catered lunch on Saturday Dinner on the river Saturday night (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chowtime.gif) Maybe an award (if you're car is nice enough) (or ugly enough, depending on the award) And the perennial favorite: Goody Bag And Door Prizes!!!! Not to mention, Friendship, Comradery, Memories, and Scenery you will see no where else on Earth. Take a train, take a bus, take a plane, or drive a car, but just make sure you bring a camera, a sense of humor, and your liver....... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) This is a time you will remember for the rest of your life. The indigenous people are still singing folk songs in the hills about our first Red Rocks Classic. Here is the official Hotel: RED ROCKS LODGE At last count there were 11 rooms available. If you call and the hotel is full, please send me a PM. We have a back up hotel down the street that we are planning on using if necessary. But in the meantime, we are going to overtake the current hotel as we have the entire motel reserved. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads/post-27-1270485363.jpg) We could fill this entire thread with (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cheer.gif) and photos, but you really need to experience this event for yourself. Come one, Come All, you don't want to miss this....... This event is 100% not for profit. In the past, if we had any left over funds, they were donated to a local Moab charity. If you would like to pay at the event, the registration fee is $77 We do not accept Nigerian certified funds, or Monopoly money. Sorry. Please mail checks to: Brant McClung 9106 fleetwood avenue longmont, colorado 80503 PM Brant, or myself if you have further questions regarding the event, or registration process. We hope to see you in Moab (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grouphug.gif) |

I will go if you guarantee that the rocks will be red and AT NIGHT TOO!
Otherwise, it's a no-go and you can find me at Bryce. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smoke.gif) |

Brant,
When you open PayPal to send money, there are two tabs ... one is marked Personal. If you click on that tab and then on "Gift", money can be sent without PayPal charges. Just thought I would let you know. |

Just thought I would let you know. Thanks Ron... I actually didn't know that so if anyone wants to register through paypal as "gift" they can skip the 3% We won't close registration until about a week prior and we will have full refunds until that same point (paying the food vendors right before the event) |

How to pay for the event (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif)
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/209.85.48.8-1753-1274200505.1.jpg) Please let me know if you have problems booking a room. I suspect the hotel may run out of rooms for us and I will need to book some rooms at our overflow location. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

No need ... we can park together with our Miatas. What you guys do with your Miatas on your own time is your own business. This isn't that kind of event...... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sheeplove.gif) |

I've had my room booked for at least a month. I don't write checks and Sandy won't let me use pay pal. She runs that account. I will have her send the funds as a gift.
I'm kind of the girl of the relationship. I like shopping and spending money. She keeps me in check. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) BTW: If you send the funds as a gift be sure to send a happy birthday note. Do not write something like " Event Fee" or something like that. We were shut down during the Buttercup deal with the transaxle raffle. Oh, BTW: That's $ 67.00 per person just to clarify= $ 134.00 for two brant914@hotmail.com right? |
