Great build story! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/first.gif)

Good luck getting it completed by the deadline, looks like you should make it.

Okay this is what I am going to use....>>>Attached Image
I really like how it looks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif)
Glass is in too! Along with new padded dash vinyl.

Figured, WHAT THE HELL, I would hide a couple 2012 signatures for the next person who gets the car and they can post about the unusual signatures they found. Attached Image (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) Why not? It won't be seen and if ever stolen, I can put the word out that my name is on it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

So I painted the trim and I got to the TARGA. The inside looks awesome and I roll it over to do the outside. Figure it will look as good as the inside. NOPE.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif)
It got all splotchy (if a word) and I can't seem to figure out why. So I will have to redo (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chair.gif) Dang it, not very often we get such a great weather in Seattle. Here come the clouds and rain for multiple days too. Grrrrrrrr
Attached Image

I did get 914Rubber's front targa seal in okay and it lined up great!

Thank you for installing the stock steel valance; it looks 1000% better. The only alternative that I wood consider is the LE valance as it looks nice too.

The steel front valance is on my six now and that is what will go on it when it is done too.

I think I could be sort of morphing into a Pat G. weenie as I tend to like the stock look on these cars more and more. NO, I am still not painting it gold and it's still getting a 3.2. I am pretty sure even if I had the stock case sitting in my shed (I have a '71 six case that is 30 serial numbers off) I would still put the 3.2 in it for the sheer joy of driving.

Loving your car and really starting to like silver a lot more.

Bumper: 'Art Brass Plating' off Michigan/Corson exit of I-5.
DASH: I have a decent one with a small crack. I've found a guy who claims he can fix it for it to be less noticeable...but he is next to impossible to hook up with to get it done. It won't be seen from the seats, so I'm about to install it as is and will watch for a good replacement in time and as my bank account replenishes. ($.05 in picture for size comparison and size of my bank account)

Finally got the fuzzies done and then I could finish the doors. What a task. I did one door wrong, but replicated the way it came to me. When I got to the driver door, I figured it out the right way. DOH! Nuff said.... HERE's the car and the work I got done in two days. ONE more day tomorrow to do more things.

.......................I'm shooting this with a basic digital camera. The silver is tough to capture.

That is not rust on the bumper, but instead a reflection of a pine cone that is sitting infront of the car. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)

Nice; is it the angle of the picture or is that fog light not straight? The lens looks as if it is turned in the casing.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) to Jerry Mahoney!! Yes, he did great work. I'm very happy.

I took the rockers and valences to a local media blaster, then to a guy I know in downtown Kent (GM Collision) who is a magician with metal. He straighten them all up to perfect. I painted those with SEM Trim paint, with no texture. Completely smooooooth. Like a baby's (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bootyshake.gif) I know it's not factory, but it compliments the paint and body work.

The rear valence is so nice, I now have to find different exhaust so I can use it. Currently have a Triad with dual out that isn't built for the stock valence.

You should have said you needed a rear valance also.

I had one taped to the front one. Could have sent them both.

You know it and those cones need to DIE! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ar15.gif) I've killed many in my training days, so to do it for entertainment ought to be fun. I've waited 4 years to really drive this car.
Might be after mid-August, I'm overwhelmed at work until then. My Saturdays might be OT days for me.

Looks off, huh? In looking again, it appears to maybe be off a tad toward the driver side. This picture gave the reflection of the black metal trim on the chrome causing it to look like an opening. So not off that bad...

For the weekend: June 2nd I was to put the motor in but 6Freak's lift is occupied so push it back to next weekend.
Must finish:
-engine bay prep
(fuel pump, brake lines, wiring protectors, rubber install)
-mount relay board (newly refreshed)
-hunt down the dash dude and kidnap him to get the work done. He will not call me back! WTF? trying to be patient because I need him, but seriously he must not need work or my money?!
-paint and mount the passenger rocker
-install fuel tank
-Drink that beer I didn't drink last weekend.

Excited to have the car at this stage. It makes it look like a real car when it has an engine/tranny!

JRUST helped (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) as we did this over at 6Freak's house. RhodyGuy stopped in too! Thanks everyone!
